The Truscott estate is set in Cornwall, south-western England near the area of St. Neot, during the Victorian era. It is a lavish manor built by Bridget's ancestors when they settled on the British isles years back after migrating there from central America. They had found great success in their homeland through political pursuits and governance, which gave them the means and confidence to cross the ocean and start anew in England hoping for even greater success.

Generational wealth, luxurious heirlooms and furnishings all passed down to Bridget along with the large amounts of land that her family owned, which are an ever growing source of income the more the population rises. The estate features large stables not too far away from the main building, where horses reside on wide pastures with access to top notch exercise and training facilitations. The surrounding forest hosts many curious attractions to see, like castles and old landmarks, but Bridget and her family before her all enjoyed the close distance to a nearby cavern where they loved to cool off and feel homely surrounded by solid rock walls like proper bats in a cave.

The crew at the estate has also largely consisted of people that had stayed serving the family generation after generation. Many of the servants' children chose to stay and continue their parents' work at the estate as the job did offer a secure pay and a familiar setting they had grown up in. Some staff lived in the servant's quarters while majority had their own homes in town and walked to the estate as only certain positions required staff to be present around the clock. Unlucky for Bridget, the family's trusted farrier and his daughter lived on their own farm close to the heart of the town so she didn't get to see her as often as she'd like to.

Early life

Bridget was born the only child to her parents Cadan and Kerenza, who had had her later in life when her father Cadan was 44 and her mother Kerenza was 46. They had struggled with infertility and miscarriages for nearly two decades until their efforts finally paid off and Kerenza had a successful pregnancy giving birth to Bridget.

This circumstance lead to Bridget being very cherished, she had everything she wanted provided for her and she was centered in the household, though her parents remained strict in her education. They encouraged her to take extra lessons in variety of fields and made sure she studied well as they wanted her to have all the knowledge and skills to not only achieve anything she wanted, but to do well as their heir as well as set her up with limitless possibilities for a good life after they'd pass themselves.

Bridget enjoyed learning and exploring since she was a baby, even if she hated reading she did her best in academic pursuits having an ambitious mindset of wanting to become a kind of jack of all trades. She made friends with everyone and was elected head of student council, many considered her much like her father for her drive for leadership along with a passion for problem solving and making impactful change even for small or "mundane" communities.

Pivotal moments from her childhood:

- The first time her little beady eyes ever fell upon a horse she was obsessed, babbling about horses and growing into a horse girl at heart (yes her parents built a whole stables and cleared a large pasture the moment she was old enough to be safely around horses)

- Often wanting to tag along her father, she had a profound realization at 8 years old when her father brought her with him for a Cornwall council meeting where they went to a local farm to talk to gathered farmers about the improvements they needed to ensure farming communities weren't struggling to keep afloat. She saw how not everyone could conjure up anything they needed or wanted, living in "imperfect" conditions or struggling with basic things like sustenance, and learned the reality of the privileges she had living with very wealthy parents. Her demeanor changed for the better after that, no longer saying things she hadn't understood could be insensitive (like asking in passing why people wore ripped or "plain" clothes, being shocked when people didn't have what she did or experience things she had. E.g. telling in school about a cruise her family had gone on and then being dumbfounded when her classmates couldn't relate, asking why not or why can't their parents just take time off work and go have fun on a cruise)

- When she was 15 she had a crush for the first time ever, and it was on a girl from the horse club she was in. Bridget was good friends with her and she came to realize she can't feel romantic about someone unless she knows them well as a person. A bit of an issue considering she had a tentative arranged union in plans arranged by her father to a Lord's son who at the time still resided in their ancestral homeland in central America.
